This year I’m going to focus on using my time better. Because I always procrastinate when I’m trying to do my work. I always have something important to do, like a chore, but I never do the work until the very very very last minute. And then later I have to do my work later when I’m having fun, doing nothing, or taking a nap. And when I do work really late, and then I don’t get a lot of sleep. Another reason why I’m going to use my time better is so that I don’t have a lot of missing assignments in any of my classes. And my final reason why I want to use my time better, is so that I stop being lazy.

The book I read for December was Breakaway by Alex Morgan, I haven’t finished the book yet, I am on page 36.

Breakaway is about a girl who starts soccer at 5. And as she gets older. She starts to join more advanced and professional clubs and leagues. And when she was old enough, she joined the women’s national soccer team. She also won many awards.

I liked the book because it had a good storyline and characters.

My favorite character of the book is Alex because she is determined. She is determined because her parents wanted her to play softball, but then she said she wanted to play soccer. She always found a way to play soccer which makes her determined.

My favorite quote from the book is, “It’s a torn ACL. It’s going to require surgery and then physical therapy.” This is my favorite quote from the book because it adds a lot of drama and suspense to the story.

I really admire Santa Claus. Santa is a nice old man, with a long white beard and round glasses. A reason why I admire Santa is because he gives out gifts and toys to me and other people, that have been nice and good all year. And another reason why I admire him, is because he doesn’t give gifts to the naughty kids, that have been bad all year. And he is nice enough to give gifts to everybody in 24 hours while everyone is asleep.

If I were principal for the day, it would go like this. I’d go to school and hop out of my lightning McQueen car, And go to my office. When school starts everyone will go rock climbing for 2 hours to wake them up. And then we’ll build legos for 1 hour, just for fun. And then by the time we’re done, it’ll be break. And at 10:30, break will be over. So then we the school will go go- kart racing, it will last until 1:30. And for the last hour and fifteen minutes, everybody will play soccer, tackle football, or basketball in the field or in the basketball court. And at 2:45, everybody will go home.

This month i read the Tale of Despereaux, i am still not done with the book. I am currently on pg 233 out of 269.

There was once a rat named Chiaroscuro, his surname is Roscuro. He was born into the filth, dirtiness, and darkness of the dungeon. Everytime a new prisoner goes into the dungeon, Roscuro and his buddy Botticelli eat the prisoner. But then suddenly, Roscuro and Botticelli escape the dungeon and roam the outside.

I enjoyed the book because it was silly and interesting. And it gave me a weird perspective of the world as a mouse/rat.

My favorite character of the book was Roscuro, because he does funny things.

My favorite quote from the book is from pg 114, “He picked up the spoon. He put it on his head.” This is my favorite quote because what Roscuro did was silly.

This is the special pigeon, he was flying in the sky, it was a cold, windy, and rainy day. And all of a sudden, WOOSH!. The bird is hit by something he can’t describe. He is falling from a height higher than the clouds. All he hears is the rain crashing into him, and the wind moving rapidly. He feels vulnerable like a bee without its stinger. As he’s falling to the ground, he thinks, how did this happen.

I am thankful for many things this year, but here are the three things i am most thankful for. One thing I am thankful for being alive. Another thing I’m thankful for is having a sibling so they can help me with homework and chores. And the third thing I’m thankful for is having a phone.

If i had three wishes, the first wish would be a free lifetime supply of ice cream, specifically strawberry ice cream. So then I don’t have to waste energy going to the store. My second wish would be a soccer jersey of my favorite player. My last wish would be lightning McQueen crocs, because they are so silly.

The Tale of Despereaux by Kate DiCamillo

This month I read The Tale of Despereaux by Kate DiCamillo. I am not done with the book, I am almost done with it though, I am on page 181 out of 267.

The story is about a cute little mouse called Despereaux who falls in love with a human girl, but the mouse council doesn’t approve of his actions so they send him to a dungeon, with nothing but rats.

I really enjoyed reading this book because it’s just so funny and silly, I really loved the story and how there were three different parts to the book.

My favorite quote from the book is “A rat! A rat is hanging from the chandelier.” I chose this quote because its funny.

I would trade places with lightning McQueen. So then I could be red and fast. I can also win a lot of trophies and get money for it. I will be able to do what I want because of all the money I got from the trophies I’ve won.
